SATHEESH NAIR
I have had an abiding love of photography, as far back as I can remember. While still in school, I began experimenting with a box camera; a present that my parents had received for their wedding. It was in college, that I got more passionate about photography and learnt to develop films and make prints the old-fashioned way, using enlargers.
I am a self-taught photographer. The internet is an excellent source of information. When I have a camera in hand, and I raise my eyes to the viewfinder, I get totally lost in my own world. The feeling of having captured a ‘keeper’ is a high in itself. My genres of interest are Fine Art, Architecture, Landscape and Travel.
Exhibitions: My first solo exhibition 'Glimpses' at the Durbar Hall, Kochi, India in April, 2016 received an excellent response. I was consequently invited to display my works under the auspices of the Annual Soorya Arts Festival at the Lalitha Kala Academy Auditorium, Thiruvananthapuram, India in Dec 2016.
